The True Colors communication style assessment helps your team develop an understanding of each member’s unique working style. Through self-assessments, facilitated discussions, and individual and group exercises, participants gain a new familiarity with and understanding of one another, allowing them to face obstacles with more unity, impact, and adaptability.
Our True Colors Certified Facilitator will guide your team through the different temperament styles to help individuals communicate more effectively, engage with more empathy, and work together with greater ease and alignment.
how true colors works
Participants are given a short assessment that can be completed prior to or during the session. After self-scoring, participants then are given their True Colors style preference — Blue, Gold, Green, or Orange. Our True Colors International certified facilitators then lead your team in a series of small-group discussions designed to deepen understanding of each individual’s primary style.
True Colors helps participants develop an understanding of their own style and the styles of others in order to be more effective in leading and working with people of all styles, and equips participants with the appropriate perspective and skills necessary to successfully manage relationships with others based on an understanding of style preferences.
What ensues is a transformative experience of the necessity of having a diversity of styles (seeing our differences as a strength vs. a liability). Unlike other more elaborate assessments, True Colors provides an accessible, easy-to-understand model that participants are able to apply immediately to their interactions.
We often combine the True Colors assessment and training with some of our team development initiatives so individuals can experience different styles in action.

That’s no problem! As with any style assessment, an individual’s True Colors style may change over time. Even if it hasn’t, our True Colors workshops provide a great opportunity to deepen understanding of your own style and — very importantly — the styles of your peers.
Our Facilitator’s are also experienced in other common style assessments and can help to draw connections between different models to strengthen understanding.
