THE NUTS-N-BOLTS OF TEAMS™
The
Nuts-n-Bolts of Teams™ workshop is a unique Helping Odyssey™ workshop
that teaches
business and organizational skills through activities for philanthropy. Nuts
and Bolts of Teams™
enhances team performance by reconnecting individuals to their common cause
and building communication, trust, respect and moral. Children and teens will
benefit from the outcome of this
workshop and participants will walk away having had an experience that provides
something
compelling, relevant and memorable...something real.
After an introduction including theory, assessments and reflection, the group
will be divided into smaller teams and will begin a series of problem-solving
exercises used as metaphors for effective teamwork. Each successful completion
yields parts for building a brand new bicycle until each team has all the
necessary parts to assemble them into a final product.
The "final products", new bicycles, are then donated to underprivileged
children who are selected through our partnership with The Boys and Girls
Clubs of America. A debrief connects the metaphors
of this experience back to personal and work life.
